Destiny Herndon-DeLaRosa: Bold, Brave, Bad Ass
I had the pleasure of meeting Destiny through my daughter’s elementary school. My oldest is pals with her oldest daughter and their loyal friendship, full of “I got your back” kind of love, has been pretty enjoyable to witness. In my opinion, Destiny is a BOLD, outspoken, strong woman who is unapologetic in her convictions. I respect that. We may not always see eye to eye on every issue, but part of the beauty as individuals, is respecting others views and learning from one another. I can’t wait for you to get to know her! She is President and Founder of New Wave Feminism and offers wit and humor while standing by her Pro-Life views. Learn more about New Wave Feminism here:Newwavefeminists.com
The EMS Contributor 5 Question Breakdown:
I was born and raised in North Dallas. I graduated from Allen High School but waaay before they got that audacious football Mecca. I refuse to be associated with that nonsense.
2. Beverage of Choice:
My beverage of choice is creamer with a dash of coffee. That’s usually also my breakfast and lunch of choice, so if you ever catch me bitching about being fat, please feel free to remind me that I basically drink warm milkshakes until 2pm everyday and should maybe probably just shut up.
3. Stay At Home Mom? Work at Home Mom? Or Work Away from Home Mom?
I am an ‘easing back into working outside of the home’ mom, I suppose. I work a few days a week as an Architectural recruiter and travel about once a month for speaking engagements totally unrelated to that. Either way, all that matters is my kids get a break from me at least a few times a week which makes them appreciate me that much more. Because basically I’m the only one in the parental unit who lets them have candy before dinner.
4. Age or Ages of Child/Children (Boys/Girls)
I have bookend boys, one three-year-old and one fourteen-year-old, and two girls in the middle, seven and nine.
5. Faith Background or World View:
My world view is pretty simple: Don’t be a jerk. Be a good person and treat other people the way you want to be treated. Luke-somebody said something like that once. If I remember correctly, he and his squad were pretty good peeps.
