Trader Joe’s August Wine Buy of The Month

Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I am a Trader Joe’s junkie.  I fell in love with them years ago when I was living in California and was sad to say goodbye when I moved to Dallas.  Last year, however, they finally read all of my emails requesting that they open a Dallas location, so now I have my TJ’s back! My girlfriend, Natasha is actually walking distance to one of the locations. Translation: she is there 3-4 days a week and is slightly obsessed like myself. Her Wednesday’s are actually, “Wine Wednesday’s,” as she takes the opportunity to shop Trader Joe’s and stock up on wine for the week. They actually know her by name and I’m not too proud to admit I am a little jealous by this.

I am always on the hunt for good everyday drinking wine. Something tasty, yet affordable.  Since Natasha is a mom and a foodie/wine lover like myself, I’m enlisting her help once a month. She will be providing us with great suggestions on affordable, but solid wine buys.  For August, we are recommending you check out Markstone Chardonnay. August is hot and this wine is refreshing! I would highly suggest, you stock up on your Markstone soon, because this bottle may not last long at your local Trader Joe’s. This wine is crisp, oaky, smooth but not too Buttery, and only $9.99!!!

Here are some thoughts from Natasha:

“All summer I have been on the look out for an inexpensive but delicious Chardonnay.  Considering I am a huge fan of crisp  Sauvignon Blancs, I  wanted something different from my Chardonnay.  I wanted the oaky and buttery version, but on a moms budget!  So low and behold, I found this amazing wine at my local Trader Joes for only 9.99$!  I was excited to get it home and give it a try, and to my amazement, it was actually what it claimed to be.  You could smell the oak on the nose, and although it does have some fruit forward flavor, it also leaves the palate with a buttery finish. For me, this is a steal at 9.99$! So go get yours before this limited supply runs out!!!”

Doesn’t get much better than that! Now all you need is a little Chardonnay Drinking Tune… Pour a glass and do a little bop to this diddy:
