Grab Hold of What Is Yours!
When I started Every Mom’s Story a few years ago, I had specific topics I wanted this blog to focus on. For starters, I invited open and honest conversation about parenting and marriage, in order to remind each other, we are not alone. Sometimes being a wife and mom is just plain HARD and I continue my desire to create a place where you can be encouraged and feel comfort knowing, you have support.
The other big focus for Every Mom’s Story Blog is YOU! It is extremely important to me, that YOU find that “thing” that brings YOU joy. Something that is YOURS and YOURS ALONE, apart from your husband and children. Meeting YOUR needs, YOUR desires and YOUR goals.
It is no secret that my “thing” is music and recently, I decided to write a book about the highs and lows of my journey as a performing artist. As I mentioned in the last post, when I first started this project, I hadn’t even defined exactly what I was going to write about. I actually had about 3-4 different book ideas and simply knew it was time to write!
A few things were getting in my way and so I needed to addresses them in order to make the creative leap:
- I knew I didn’t have “time” to write, so I made time.
- I knew nothing about self-publishing, so I took a course on it.
- I was full of self-doubt, so I looked fear in the eye, and did it anyway!
I share this with you, because it is my hope that you will do the same! I hope you will make time for the things that are important to you! I hope you learn a new skill, if that is what it takes to achieve your goal. I also sincerely hope that you NEVER allow fear to hold you back!
Performing Artist Pathway: Navigate the Highs & Lows On Your Music Journey, speaks to the emotional journey we take as artists, but also includes goal setting and action planning, which applies to anyone starting something new! We all battle with self-doubt, fear of failure, depression and regret. We all need encouragement, determination and a clear cut plan to actualize our dreams. My book speaks to all of this and more, while also sharing my personal life experience as a performer and finalist on American Idol, Season 4.

As a subscriber to Every Mom’s Story Blog, I am also sharing with you the FREE Companion Notebook link located in Chapter One. The Companion Notebook will guide you through the interactive questions at the end of each chapter and inspire you to answer the tough questions that will ultimately create personal, creative and professional growth. I know most of us would prefer to NOT put the work in, but we can’t expect change without putting in effort!
Would love to hear your feedback on the book, so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or better yet, a review on Amazon and Goodreads!
Thanks as always for joining me on the journey! Look forward to hearing more about YOURS!
Until Next Time!
